How to make Masala Khichdi – Quick and Easy Rice Recipe – Swaad Anusaar With Seema

Everyone makes Khichdi at home, but today, I'm going to give Khichdi a new twist So come, let's make 'Masala Khichdi' First, let's start our stove Then we add ghee (clarified butter) Half a tsp hing (asafoetida)

Bay leaves 2 tsp cumin seeds 1 tbsp chopped ginger 1 tsp whole black peppercorns The ginger is cooked, let's add 2 chopped green chillies

Now, add 1 chopped onion Stir the onion for 2-3 minutes Then we add 2 chopped tomatoes Then we add 1 and a quarter tsp salt Half a tsp turmeric powder

Mix this well Now, we add 1 cup chopped french beans Then add 1 cup chopped carrots 1 big, chopped potato Then we add 1 cup green peas

We have mixed all the vegetables Now we take the rice and moong dal (split green gram) We have taken half a cup moong dal and 1 cup rice Let's mix this well All are vegetables have mixed well, let's add some coriander leaves

Mix this properly Now, we add approximately, 2 and a half cups water Mix this well Close the cooker with it's lid Allow it to cook till 3-4 whistles

The khichdi is ready, let's open the cooker Let's mix this properly Our khichdi has become thick, now we add some warm water to it So that, it becomes a liquid in consistency Now, we add some chopped capsicum

Add water as per your preference of the consistency Add 3 whole red chillies for the garnish Some coriander leaves And a small piece of butter The butter is optional, add it if you like
