Generally the most entertaining fixture of the Premier League season, Liverpool v Arsenal fails to disappoint.
Two sides that love assaulting, that like to entertain Arsenal, Liverpool and the neutral and who enjoy scoring goals have performed out a few absolute classics in years.
Since the start of 2014, the 12 matches between the 2 sides have afforded 53 goals, and that I don’t expect it to change any time soon.
Arsenal’s summer signings are gelling nicely, particularly the impressive Dani Ceballos, also under Unai Emery, who is surely renowned for prioritising assault over defence, the Gunners will feel that they could really get at Liverpool, who have not quite looked their older, completely dominant selves against Norwich, Southampton or Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup.
With Alisson out injured, Liverpool do seem a little less secure in the back, together with the erratic Adrian that a not as reassuring existence (since he displayed with a howler against Southampton) supporting the defenders. There’s no way using a Spanish Simon Mignolet in goal will not have an Effect on the side. ??
Backing both groups would be a no-brainer, but I’m going to back some Liverpool triumph + BTTS as a individual tip. Arsenal appear good, however Jurgen Klopp’s side have beaten Arsenal in their past three Anfield visits–scoring 12 days –and with these imperious home type over the last 18 months or so (not to mention Arsenal’s comparative travel sickness), Liverpool is going to be confident of claiming the things.
One person who has set over the years in some incredible performances from Arsenal is Roberto Firmino.
Last weekend opened his account for the season from Southampton, also with seven goals in his past four matches against Arsenal at Anfield–scoring at least in every single –it’s reasonable to expect him to have victory.
Having so many objects packed into this Reds side, I would still be inclined to Just, although it’s also worth noting Firmino also scored Liverpool’s first target on all four occasions. ??
