Hi, Welcome to Sheby's Kitchen Today, I am going to prepare an Italian Dessert

Panna Cotta !!! Panna Cotta means 'Cooked Cream' We are going to prepare this sweet dish by cooking the cream We can make different varieties of Panna Cotta Today, I am going to prepare Classic Panna Cotta, which is a basic recipe of Panna Cotta I will prepare a Berry Composite / Topping to serve with Panna Cotta

It is a dish with very few ingredients and easy to prepare We need to keep it aside for some time to set Everyone will like this dessert So please try to make this at home Let us go through the preparation of Panna Cotta

These are the ingredients for Panna Cotta Double Cream, Milk, Sugar, Gelatin and Vanilla Essence Let us go through the preparation of Panna Cotta Firstly, we can bloom / Soak our Gelatin powder I have taken 1/4 cup Cold Milk

If you use milk after boiling, it should be kept in the fridge after boiling Use only refrigerated milk Sprinkle 5 Gm of Gelatin Powder on top of the milk Keep it aside for soaking Next step is cooking our Cream

Take 1 Cup of Double cream in a sauce pan and keep it on very low flame Should not boil this cream, but need to cook slowly Adding 1/4 cup of Milk and 1/4 Cup of sugar Stir well to dissolve sugar in the cream Need to cook on very low flame and should not allow to boil as well

Adding earlier soaked Gelatin to the hot cream Stir well and allow to dissolve Gelatin completely in the cream The mixture started bubbling from the sides So I am going to switch off the flame Adding 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence

Mix it well Keep it aside for cooling down little bit Then we will transfer this to the bowls for setting I am going to pour this to the serving dishes Taken in a measuring jar for filling these dishes easily

You can pour the quantity as per your choice You can serve it in wine glasses or shot glasses If you want to serve small quantity, fill in small molds or bowls You can serve as per your choice You can fill in 6 bowls like these with the measurement given

You can serve it in bowls / wine glass / any shape molds So keep it for setting as per your choice Keep it in the fridge for minimum 5 hours It is always great if you can keep it for overnight Will be back then

Next, we can prepare a Berry Composite / Topping to serve with Panna Cotta You can take any berries as per your availability or taste I have taken Blue Berries and Black Berries You can use strawberries to prepare berry composite Adding 1/4 cup of Red sweet wine

If you don't want to use wine, use 1/4 cup of water Adding 2 Tablespoons of Sugar Mix it well and wait until it is cooked I have used home made sweet grape wine So alcohol percentage will be very less

It started boiling Close with a lid and keep it on low flame Cook for 5 to 10 minutes on low flame Then we can open the lid It is cooked and became thick consistency

Switch off the flame We are going to use when it cools down completely Will be back once we are serving with Panna Cotta I have kept Panna Cotta in the fridge for overnight Now we can serve with Berry composite

For flipping to a plate, keep our bowl in warm water for 10 – 20 secondsPanna Cotta releases easily from mold Just try to release from sides of the bowls If it is not releasing, use a butter knife or knife to release from sides For me, it is released completely after warming up the bowl

So flip to the plate Flip the bowl to a plate after keeping the plate on top of the bowl Panna Cotta has come out properly on plate Serve Panna Cotta with Berry composite on top If you are serving on a plate, you can serve berry composite on sides of the Panna Cotta as well

If you are serving it in a wine glass or shot glass, you don't need to de-mold it from glass Then serve Berry composite on top of the Panna Cotta in the glass itself You can serve Panna Cotta on a plate with berry composite after de-molding Or you can serve Panna Cotta in a wine glass / shot glass with Berry composite as topping Panna Cotta with Berry composite is ready to serve
