Heat the pan and add 3 tsp of oil Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp Urad dal – 1/4 tsp Curry leaves Chopped onion – 1 cup Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp Tomato – 1 cup Close the lid and cook it Salt – 1 tsp Turmeric powder – 1 tsp Cumin powder – 1 tsp Boiled potato(Smashed) – 1 medium size Brown/Kala chana dal (Soaked overnight and pressure cook them for 4 whistles) – 2 cups (After boiling them) Smash 1 cup of brown chana dal Next Add another cup of boiled chana dal Add water – 2 cups Close the lid and cook it for 5 min on medium flame
Corriander leaves – Handful Tamarind puree – 1 tsp Garam masala – 1/2 tsp Cook it for another 10 -15 min (Or transfer it to a pressure cooker and cook it for 2 whistles) Done It serves for 4-5 people
